This one came a little early: the Daytripper Easel from Prolific Painter. I've seen the easel in action at several plein air painting festivals over the last couple of years. Designed and built by my friend, artist Joshua Been, it seems like most of my painting friends at these events use one.

The palette/easel I will use for this trip will be Prolific Painter's Day Tripper with 12" vertical panel holder which will be mounted on my Gitzo travel tripod. My lightweight jar for medium/thinner, also from Prolific Painter, attaches to the palette via its own little bungee. There are smaller palettes/pochade boxes but I like as large.

May 11, 2021 #1 Has anyone here tried the Day Tripper easel? I like that each component is lightweight. I have to limit lifting even 5-pound objects, so the lighter the better.
