The Aston Martin DB6 is a grand tourer made by British car manufacturer Aston Martin and was produced from September 1965 to January 1971. The "DB" designation is from the initials of David Brown who built up the company from 1947 onwards.

Aston Martin launched the DB6 at the 1965 London Motor Show. This was the final evolution of the DB4 based models and it was effectively built on a lengthened DB5 chassis to ensure the car could seat four adults. Externally the front of the DB6 is similar to its predecessors, however, in profile and from the rear the car is easily identifiable.

Before the DB6 Volante arrived, Aston Martin offered what they called the Short-Chassis Volante; a series of 37 cars that used up the leftover short wheelbase DB5 Convertible bodyshells. The DB6 was built with a 95mm longer wheelbase than the DB5 in order to provide more interior space. The new car was also more expensive than its predecessor.
