Bagan in Godzilla Movie Studio Tour. In 1990, Bakan was revisited for a new Mothra film, in which he was revised as a new monster, Bagan. Although this version was intended to be a shapeshifter as before, Koichi Kawakita later decided to remove this aspect and gave Bagan a new appearance and abilities. In the script, Bagan was conceived as a dragon-like god of destruction that presided over.

Bagan (バガン) is a powerful demon-like kaiju that was planned to be in numerous Godzilla films, but never ended being in one. The only official appearances of Bagan are in the SNES video game, Super Godzilla and in Godzilla Movie Studio Tour. Bagan's original concept was a shape-shifting creature that switched between a dragon form, a fish form, and an ape form, and finally into a totem.

Bagan is finally making an appearance in Japanese theaters later this month in a Mothra vs. Bagan prologue feature as part of a special Godziban event!. Bagan's theatrical debut is a significant one since the Monster was originally going to debut back in the 1990s opposite Mothra in a sequel to Godzilla vs. Biollante, but Toho unfortunately canceled the project after Godzilla vs. Biollante.

It started out as an ape-like creature but after being wounded it became a dragon-like creature. Each time it changed it healed itself. It dives into the sea and becomes fish-like.
