My TECHNICS SL-110 Direct Drive Turntable is having a problem with it's speed control. Once it's warmed up, the Table holds it's proper speed and plays fine. However, once stopped to change LP's, I need to RE-adjust the speeds fine tuning. It took me over ten minutes to RE-adjust before the Table maintain proper speed.

To answer you last point, the good points about the 110 are it's a Technics direct drive so it has the classic speed lock of that system and if you have some basic woodworking skills you can easily make arm boards for pretty much any arm, the bad points are it's a forty year old deck and although I don't think it has any impossible to obtain par.
