That translates to a curb weight of 253 kg, or 557.8 pounds, compared to 250 kg, or 551.1 pounds certified for the current model. Likewise, the manual transmission Adventure Sports model lists a new weight of 318 kg (again, with a 75 kg rider).

#1 · Jul 27, 2017 I bought this bike and have so far put 930 miles on it, did the first oil change at 650 miles and have never brought it above 6000 RPM. The first sign that this bike might be having problems came shortly after I bought it, and rode in to work. I was at a stop, in neutral and pulled the clutch in. Bike died.

#1 · Apr 4, 2021 I'm about to buy a new to me bike and I'm down to the 2 finalists. A 2009 GSA with 35k miles, and a 2016 Africa Twin ( non-DCT ) with 21k miles. The bikes are the same price - $8k USD. Both have full service histories and are immaculate.

The updated, 2020 Honda Africa Twin is good. Really good. Despite the AT's generally positive reception in 2016, the call for more power is a loud one to ignore. Not that the bike was slow, but when placed against its (bigger) rivals the lack of muscle was apparent.
